"The Future For Sport STATS!"

What is 'Seeme Active Fight Sports?'

Quite simply, it enables you to permanently capture and automatically share your competitive results.

You can enter your results both through an iPhone app and through the
www.SeeMeActive.com
web site. You can share your stats, have results posted automatically to Twitter and Facebook, and even authorize others to add comments or even enter stats for you while you're competing!

Once your results are saved in Seeme Active Fightsports on the iPhone, results are automatically accessible in your account at www.SeeMeActive.com - and vice versa. Friends and family can receive notifications of the newly added data and review results as they happen from any device with web access if they can't be there in person.

"When my students compete it usually takes a couple days to find out how they did, but with seeme active fightsports we can get their results as they happen at the event."
Cassio Werneck (R)
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion

Competitors currently keep track of their results in a number of different ways. Some save results in a spreadsheet, or in a Word document, or in email, or on Facebook. Others rely on promoters to post results. And some simply rely on memory. Many don't bother because there's no simple, permanent solution. And those who do use one of these ad hoc methods to keep track of their results complain that it's difficult to share with others, that promoters' sites (and their results!) go away, or that they've lost their data after a computer crashed or an account expired.

So how do you use it?
Easy! If you have an iPhone, go to the App Store on either your phone or computer, search for "seeme active," and download seeme active fight sports. With a couple taps of the screen you can enter your upcoming (or past) events and results and get a summary of your competitive history.

If you don't have an iPhone, just go to
www.SeeMeActive.com
create an account, and start entering your results!

Who can see my stats?
It's up to you. You pick who you want to see your stats and results.

And as mentioned above, you can choose to have your results automatically posted to your Facebook and/or Twitter accounts. This is great for easily letting others who couldn't make it to your event know how you did when it happened. If somebody wants all the details, like the round, the time, and the way you won a match (e.g. by a clock choke at 1:19 or round 2 in a BJJ or MMA match; by pinning your opponent 12 seconds into round 1 for a wrestling match; by decision in a kickboxing or boxing bout...), they can check out your results on www.SeeMeActive.com from a computer, iPhone, or any other device that can view the web.

"As the world's largest sanctioning service for Kickboxing and MMA, it's important that we are able to verify the competitive histories and records for both amateur and pro competitors," said Steve Fossum, (R) President and CEO of International Fight Sports - www.IFightSports.com, (The parent company of the International Sport Combat Federation (ISCF) and International Kickboxing Federation (IKF). Fossum explains, "The seeme active fightsports service will help us with the research we do for competitors in the events we sanction." He adds, "As a former competitor, I realize how important it is to be able to keep an accurate fight record that you can share with others, from friends and family to promoters, and the seeme active service makes it easy to do this regardless of the promoter or event. This is without a doubt The Future For Sport STATS!"

Do you have a tutorial and other info?
Yes - go to www.SeeMeActive.com to read the tutorial and get other information about seeme active.

What other sports are supported?
The fight sports app supports Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, Kickboxing, Wrestling, and Boxing. There's an app for Football, and there is also support for Running, Walking, and Hiking. Support for more sports is currently underway!

IKF Asia Press
For the first time, the biggest match Thailand has ever seen was held by IKF Asia. This match was held between Eric Mohsen Mansoori, the Iranian Kickboxing Champion and Sanomsak Sitsurapon, Thai Boxing Champion from Thailand in the style of kickboxing with K-1 Rules.

There was a lot of excitement in the Stadium in Pattaya, Thailand as this was the first qualifier, being sanctioned by IKF Asia in Thailand. A large crowd gathered to watch the match and they were cheering the fighters heavily. During this event, many Thai promoters showed enthusiasm to hold more such matches in Thailand and preliminary agreements were made.

The Thai Champion had a higher advantage over the Iranian fighter in the ring and not to mention, he had a lot of local support since most of the crowd were Thai and were cheering for him.

This match is part of a play-off for the Grand Prix match for the prize of $5,000.00 to be held on 25th of January, 2010. This is the first prize to be awarded from IKF Asia in Thailand.

In the first round, the fighters tested their opponents skills and followed a close fight. In the second round, despite the brilliant and powerful performance by the Thai Champion, Mohsen Mansoori attacked the Thai fighter and showed off his fighting skills and broke the opponents ribs with a back kick and won the match by Knock-Out.

After the match, the winner was announced and the Iranian flag was raised in the stadium. Eric qualified to fight for the Asian Championship Title to be sanctioned by IKF Asia and the IKF World Headquarters. He will fight fiercely for the IKF Asia Belt and the prize money of $5000.00.

Shihan Amir Mosadegh, president of PIMAF and IKF Asia Representative, congratulated Eric for the victory and the great performance he showed and wishes him luck in the future fights.

IKF Overturns
Murphy Vs Eriec Decision

October 2009
"It was CLEARLY a bad call so we had to do the right thing and over-rule it."

After a full review of the fight footage the IKF has ruled to overturn a very bad referee call that was made back on October 24th, 2009 on the Paco/LTD Productions', "THE RUMBLE IN RICHMOND" in Richmond, California, USA.

The bout was for the vacant IKF Amateur MTR West Coast Super Lightweight Title. In the bout, Rick Eriec faced Jeremy Murphy. In the opening round, Murphy connected with a solid turnback side kick to Eriec's stomach that dropped Eriec in pain to the mat where he stayed for quite some time.

California State Commission Referee Ed Collantes thought it was a low blow and called it as such and allowed Eriec plenty of time to recover and continue fighting... A minute and 10 seconds to be exact... However, as required from such a blow, referee Collantes never went around the ring and pooled the other ringside judges or the chief commission inspector. Worse yet, no one even questioned the call which other commission officials at ringside saw. After Eriec was given his 70 seconds to recover and fight on, the bout went on. In the end, it ended in a Split Decision draw. Judge Steve English scored it 40-36, Murphy. Judge Steve Morrow scored it 39-37 Eriec and Judge Ray Balewicz had it even at 38-38.

IKF President Steve Fossum was the IKF Event Representative at ringside during the event and had a clear view of the kick. "There was no doubt in my mind or some others at ringside at the moment that it was a clean kick to the stomach, but since amateur bouts in California are overseen by the commission, I really had no say in the matter." Said Fossum. "However, after seeing it again recently, there was no way any of us could just sit here and allow it to go un-noticed. It was clearly a bad call so we had to do the right thing and over-rule it."

After the strike, referee Collantes asked Eriec if it was a groin shot and Eriec did not answer. In his interview after the fight, he admitted that he got caught and couldn't speak to answer that it was not a groin shot. If Collantes would have seen it the way Fossum and others saw it, Eriec would have been given an 8 count, which he surly would not have made and the fight would have been over at that point and the decision would have been, Jeremy Murphy by knock out.

As of today, the official "IKF" Results for this bout is:
IKF Amateur MTR West Coast Super Lightweight Title
Jeremy Murphy,
Milpitis, California, USA defeated Rick Eriec, Concord, California, USA by KO AT 1:57 of round 1.

It was unknown as of press time what, if anything the California State Commission will do about the call. both Bill Douglas and Dave Thornton, Interim Executive Officer for the California State Athletic Commission were sent a link to the fight back in December, but to our knowledge, there has been no response back to Murphy's camp about the bout other than Thornton e-mailing Murphy's camp saying, "If you still want the commission to review this fight please submit the DVD of the fight as soon as possible."

Preacherman Moves On
IKF Pro World Champion
Dan Erickson Hangs Up The Gloves

"It was a hard decision to make since kickboxing is a sport I still enjoy so much, I will always be a fan." said IKF Pro World FCR Heavyweight Champion Dan "Son of a Preacherman" Erickson of Duluth, Minnesota, USA. This week Erickson made the decision after thinking about a possible rematch with Kevin Smiles.Erickson defeated Smiles to win the title back on November 25th, 2006, in Loves Park, Illinois, USA by KO in the 7th round. Since the win he has never been challenged for the title, which we are sure also played into the thoughts on his decision. Dan and his wife Laura had their first child, Alicea, last July and he has found his focus has been with his family and not kickboxing. Those of us who are parents can't agree with him more.

Dan was trained by both former IKF Pro world Champion Mike Labree and Bill Lassi during his career. His professional record was 10-1-1 with 6 wins coming by KO/TKO. He also fought for the now defunct World Combat League that Chuck Norris had created.

In the Amateurs he made even more waves with a record of 21-1 with 11 wins coming by KO/TKO. Back in 2001 Dan fought through three other challengers to win the 3rd IKF Tournament, back when it was still called the IKF USA Nationals. It was the 2001 IKF/RINGSIDE USA National Amateur Kickboxing Championships in Olathe/Kansas City Kansas, USA (September 7th, 8th & 9th - The weekend before 9-11) It was the Largest Kickboxing event EVER (Number of competitors) in North America. 265 Fighters Registered and 207 Fighters Fought. Although the record has been broken twice now (2005 & 2009), the 2001 event still holds the record for the largest number of "Adult" men Full Contact Rules fighters at 65.

Erickson was one of those 65 as he and 8 others fighters from around USA challenged for the tournaments FCR Heavyweight title. In his opening round of competition he defeated John Davidson of Georgia by TKO at 1:07 of round 1 to advance to round 2. Later that day in the second round of action he faced and defeated Tim Mazurkievicz by unanimous decision, 30-24, 30-25 & 30-25 to advance to the final. In the final he took on Wil Joseph of Dallas, Texas. Erickson put him away by TKO at 1:18 of the 2nd round to take home the tournament title.

The following year at the 2002 IKF USA National Amateur Kickboxing Championships in Davenport, Iowa, USA on August 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 200 Fighters challenged for the 4th annual IKF Tournament title. Erickson once again was one of the 200 challengers and again defended his title in a rather odd road. Being the returning Champion Erickson received a by in the opening round. In the opening round of competition, Wil Joseph, who Erickson beat the previous year for the title, defeated David Hampton. However Joseph was a no show for his bout against Erickson for their round 2, Saturday afternoon bout, thus giving Joseph a loss by forfeit and moving Erickson to the Championship bout on Sunday. In the tournament Championship bout Erickson defeated Mark Mortensen of Lake Zurich, IL, USA by unanimous decision 29-26 on all 3 judges cards giving Erickson "Back to Back" titles in the only open Amateur Kickboxing Tournament in the USA at the time.

"I want to thank you for running such a professional organization that has given me so many great opportunities through the years." Said Dan in an e-mail back to the IKF this week. Well, we want to Thank You Dan for being such a Great Champion in the Ring and a Great person out of the ring as well. We are proud to list you among so many other great fighters on the IKF's Past Champions Page. We wish you and the family all the best in your future Champ!

California Athletic Commission Approves
"FIRST LEGAL JUNIOR" Kickboxing Under IKF!

Katrina Nahe of Antioch, CA & Aneka Otte of Scottsdale, AZ
To Headline The Junior Portion Of This Historical Event.

A.K. Promotions, a Kickboxing promotions' company based out of the Sacramento / Rocklin, CA region in conjunction with Tommy T's Comedy and Dinner Theater of Rancho Cordova and the International Kickboxing Federation (IKF) confirmed this week that twelve year old kickboxing sensation Katrina "The Storm" Nahee (Left) of Antioch will be fighting Friday night, February 12th, 2010 at the Doubletree Hotel in Sacramento, CA.

Nahee will be one of 16 other bouts between men and women scheduled for this Las Vegas Style night of IKF Championship Kickboxing! This is the first "LEGAL" Full Contact Kickboxing match for fighters under the age of 16 years old in the State of California.

Nahe who is a two time IKF World Classic Champion will be taking on top contender, 14 year old Aneka Otte (Right) of Scottsdale, Arizona for the vacant IKF Junior Amateur IR Western US Atomweight Title.

Nahe is trained by Mr. Dennis Guila of Guila's Kickboxing of Antioch, CA. The 5'1" tall Nahe has been competing in IKF Point Kickboxing Tournaments since the age of around 6 to help prepare her for the full contact fights she participates in today.

Dennis Guila

In Their Corners...

One thing is for sure, both these young ladies have been trained by plenty of talent. Lets take a closer look at who will be in their corners come fight time...

Nahe is trained by Dennis Guila
With a background in Judo, Boxing, Kenpo, Kajukenbo and tournament competitions as a child, Guila at the age of 18 was introduced to Full Contact Muay Thai/Kickboxing where he fought his way into the Number 1 Light Heavyweight contender position in 1979. Then in 1983 he fought and earned the WKA Heavyweight title out of Hawaii. Over the years he has taught thousands of students from Hawaii to California and is responsible in many of them earning their black belts. In most recent accomplishments Guila's competition team "Team G-Force" has earned over 300 winning places in local, state, national and international competition in everything from Kata, Empty Hand & Weapons, Point Sparring, Continuous Sparring and IKF Point Kickboxing.
